One of Australia’s leading Federal Government agencies is looking to engage an experienced Senior Desktop Engineer (SOE) to implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services. The successful candidate will be offered a 2 year contract with lucrative hourly rates $$

The successful Senior Desktop Engineer (SOE) will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Building, installing, configuring, testing and maintaining the Lyrebird SOE.
• Deploying the SOE to desktop devices using automation to further standardise infrastructure and environments.
• Troubleshooting technical issues and conducting regular maintenance and updates on SOE software to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide technical support to end-users on desktop-related matters.

The successful Senior Desktop Engineer (SOE) will have experience in the following:

• Extensive experience in Linux Desktop operating systems – particularly Ubuntu
• Knowledge and experience in configuring and supporting harden desktop SOE. 
• Knowledge and experience in SOE deployment automation and remote device management
