A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking to engage experienced Senior Azure Cloud Engineers to join a high-performing Cloud Services team supporting large-scale, enterprise cloud platforms. The successful Azure Cloud Engineers will play a key role in designing, building and uplifting secure, scalable and resilient Azure environments, contributing to automation, governance and modern cloud engineering practices across a complex ICT landscape.
The successful Azure Cloud Engineers will secure an initial 12-month contract with extension options, based in the ACT with hybrid working arrangements.
The Azure Cloud Engineers will be responsible for but not limited to;
- Designing and implementing Azure infrastructure aligned with enterprise architecture standards
- Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform or ARM templates)
- Engineering cloud environments to improve security, scalability and resilience
- Implementing governance controls including policy, tagging and management groups
- Supporting monitoring, logging and automation across Azure platforms
The Azure Cloud Engineers will have experience in the following:
- Strong experience with Azure core services (VMs, App Services, VNets, Storage, Azure SQL)
- Experience with cloud security, identity and access management (Entra ID / RBAC)
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
