We are seeking an experienced Senior Benefits Officer / Benefits Specialist to join a high-performing Federal Government Agency supporting the delivery and evaluation of digital programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring robust, evidence-based measurement of digital health benefits across major Agency programs and projects. This role offers a contract through 30 June 2026 with up to 6 months extension, flexible hybrid working arrangements, and the opportunity to work at the forefront of digital health policy and benefits realisation.

The Senior Benefits Officer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Leading benefits analyses associated with digital health programs and initiatives
  • Delivering cost benefit analysis, cost effectiveness analysis, multi-criteria analysis and qualitative benefits assessments
  • Supporting accurate and timely identification of digital health benefits and disbenefits across Agency projects
  • Contributing to a strong behavioural and economic evidence base to measure digital health impacts
  • Championing Agency-wide digital health benefits measurement frameworks and best practice

The successful candidate will have experience in the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in benefits realisation, economic evaluation or impact analysis ideally within health or government environments
  • Strong capability in cost benefit analysis, cost effectiveness analysis and related evaluation methodologies
  • Experience working within legislative, financial and administrative government frameworks
  • Proven ability to operate independently with sound judgement in complex and ambiguous environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including representation at cross-agency forums
  • Ability to manage sensitive and strategically significant projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex analysis to diverse audiences

Qualifications & desirable experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in health, economics, behavioural insights, analytics or a related discipline
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field will be highly regarded
