One of Australia’s leading Federal Government departments is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a high-profile, whole-of-government digital initiative. The role will focus on delivering key work packages within the Maritime program, designed to streamline data exchange for vessels, reduce administrative burden, and improve the efficiency and resilience of Australia’s maritime trade.

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Leading end-to-end project delivery including planning, scheduling, governance, and reporting of MSW work packages.
  • Developing and maintaining key project artefacts such as project plans, RAID logs, dependency registers, and status reports. 
  • Managing risks, issues, dependencies and change control to ensure delivery within scope, time and budget. 
  • Acting as the key liaison between business stakeholders, ICT teams and system integrators.
  • Coordinating stakeholder engagement and translating technical information into clear business impacts and recommendations.

The successful Project Manager will have experience in the following:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex digital or multi-stakeholder projects/programs.
  • Strong experience in project governance, reporting and PMO environments.
  • Proven ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies and change control.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including working across multiple agencies and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working with technical delivery teams or system integrators and translating technical concepts for broader audiences.
