We are seeking multiple Automation Testers to join a high-performing Federal Government agency. The successful Automation Testers will play a key role in delivering automation-led quality outcomes across complex enterprise systems, with a focus on Playwright-based automation, CI/CD integration, API and UI testing, and defect management within Agile Scrum teams. The successful candidates will secure a long-term contract through to June 2027, with strong extension potential, based in ACT with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

The Automation Testers will be responsible for but not limited to;

• Designing, developing and maintaining Playwright-based automation frameworks for UI, API and integration testing
• Executing automated test suites, analysing results and triaging defects
• Performing targeted manual testing for complex scenarios and automation gaps
• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub)
• Collaborating with Scrum teams, developers and business stakeholders to define test scenarios
• Ensuring testing outcomes are traceable, repeatable and audit-compliant
• Managing defect lifecycle, reporting and resolution across delivery teams
• Contributing to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives

The Automation Testers will have experience in the following:

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience testing large-scale enterprise systems with a strong focus on automation
• Proven experience building automation frameworks using Playwright (UI & API testing)
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience working in Agile Scrum delivery environments
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps (or similar) for test and defect management
• Experience testing APIs, integrations and complex data flows
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
