One of Australia's leading government agencies is looking to engage skilled Cloud Engineers to support key initiatives across the department. The Cloud Engineers will play a pivotal role in the deployment, management, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient environments. The successful candidate will be offered an initial contract until 30 June, with two 12-month extension options.

The successful Cloud Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to: 

• Responding to issues and system outages, including repair and recovery from software and hardware failures.
• Researching system administration including server management, VDI, cloud services, and Virtualisation.
• Supporting and administrating cloud infrastructure and automation/orchestration platform
• Establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships with divisional staff.

The successful Cloud Engineers will have experience in the following:

• Skills in implementing security controls and monitoring for threats in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of network design and management principles in a cloud context.
• Strongly developed skills in programming for automation: Knowledge of programming languages for task automation and service manipulation.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, investigation and reverse engineering of complex and undocumented systems.
