A leading Federal Government agency is seeking two experienced Audit & Security Engineers (Senior Vulnerability Assessors) to support mission critical cyber security initiatives. This role will strengthen the security posture of complex ICT environments through vulnerability assessment, system security enhancement, and ongoing monitoring. The successful candidates will join a highly skilled security team on an initial 12 month contract with 2 × 12 month extensions.

The successful Audit & Security Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Developing and operating ICT security systems including firewalls, intrusion detection, web application firewalls, SIEM, endpoint security, PKI, encryption, vulnerability scanning, and identity/access management.
  • Reviewing and enhancing system security controls, ensuring compliance with security standards and implementing remedial actions.
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments, analysing risk, evaluating security documentation, and developing automation to support security operations.
  • Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment, supporting technical leadership, and contributing to the secure deployment of systems.

The successful Audit & Security Engineers will have experience in the following:

  • Strong knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies, with hands-on experience securing complex ICT environments.
  • Proven experience administering and developing ICT security systems and tools across Linux and Windows environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python and PowerShell, along with experience producing technical documentation.
  • Experience with security monitoring, incident investigation, and vulnerability assessment tools.
