One of Australia’s most progressive Federal Government Departments is seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead and mature testing practices across a large, complex infrastructure environment. This role will play a critical part in ensuring quality outcomes across multiple project streams and driving continuous improvement in testing and QA frameworks. The successful Test Manager will be offered an initial 6 month contract with two 12 month extension options.

The successful Test Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to: 

• Lead the development of end-to-end test strategies, test plans, and test frameworks aligned to detailed business and technical requirements.
• Oversee, coordinate, and manage test execution activities across multiple delivery streams.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality test reports, ensuring clear articulation of outcomes, risks, defects, and recommendations.
• Drive and oversee Quality Assurance activities, including documentation review and compliance checks

The successful Test Manager will have experience in the following:

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate in complex project environments.
• Extensive experience leading testing strategy, governance, planning, and execution.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate multi-stream testing teams within ICT or infrastructure programs.
• Expertise in developing and delivering detailed reports and quality insights to senior leadership.
