A leading Federal Government Agency is seeking a Data Scientist / Data Analyst to join a high performing Data & Analytics team. This role sits within a dynamic branch responsible for delivering enterprise-level reporting, dashboards and analytics products that directly influence operational performance and strategic decision making. You will play a key role in transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights that support policy, program delivery and continuous improvement initiatives within a large, nationally significant environment. The successful Senior Network Engineer will be offered an initial 12-month contract with 1 x 12-month extension option

The successful Data Scientist / Data Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Providing high-level technical and analytical expertise to data initiatives within the branch
• Designing, building and implementing reports, dashboards and analytic/data products
• Identifying opportunities to leverage data for consistent and efficient decision-making
• Communicating complex information in clear, simple messages for varied stakeholders

The successful Data Scientist / Data Analyst will have experience in the following:

• Significant experience in data analysis with strong programming skills (SAS, SQL, R or Python)
• Experience working within an industrialised EDW environment and project lifecycle frameworks
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to work under limited supervision
• Ability to translate discussions into data flows, collaborate effectively and perform under tight deadlines
