A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking to engage three Junior Network Technicians to support the delivery and ongoing operation of critical communications infrastructure across remote and regional environments. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to build their technical expertise across radio, satellite and network communications systems while working alongside experienced specialists. The successful candidates will be offered an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options
The successful Junior Network Technicians will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Providing telecommunications support services across radio, satellite, voice and data communications networks.
• Performing testing, monitoring, maintenance and repair of communications equipment including radios, repeaters, antennas, GPS devices and satellite systems.
• Supporting the ongoing operation, upgrade and optimisation of radio and satellite communication platforms through established change and release processes.
• Assisting with the development of technical documentation, troubleshooting guides and training materials for local administrators and support personnel.
The successful Junior Network Technicians will have experience in one or more of the following:
• Radio communications systems including HF, VHF, repeaters, base stations, mobile radios and associated antenna infrastructure.
• Satellite communications equipment, installation, maintenance and support.
• Telecommunications, networking or communications infrastructure support environments.
• Troubleshooting and maintaining communications equipment in operational environments.
